I always remember the day I got my first PC. I was way past normal retirement age and, although I had learnt a lot in my years in business, the Technology Age seemed to have passed me by. As I was packing my bags ready to quit the business scene forever (little did I know then how the PC would change my future) computers and all that go with them had only recently been born and were then only used by a small percentage of the population. That was then, just look at it now only a few years on - where would we be without our PC and the Net? Anyway to go back to my first PC. In spite of all the knowledge gained in the Real World I was TOTALLY CLUELESS when it came to this new Cyber World. I was almost afraid to switch the thing on in case I had got some wires crossed and I blew it up. Well I guess I've learnt quite a bit since then but fortunately I can still remember how difficult the learning curve was for me initially. I say initially because one of the things I did quickly pick up on was how easy it was to find out "how to" on the Net and also just how many people were keen to help me find out "how to", without any thought for personal gain. This was, and still is, a fact which continues to amaze and impress me and long may it continue. Sticking to the "how to" theme but getting back to the subject in hand I do realise that tasks which I now take for granted and accomplish without thinking may still seem like yet "another mountain to climb" for those who have never done them before, so isn't it just great that there is a Good Samaritan around who has produced these amazing Free Videos. To start with 5 Training Videos (with more to follow) starting with the very basics and actually showing you "how to" Great for Newbies and even the Not Quite Expert. Experts may find them a little Old Hat. |
